evolutionOne PPS Seminar "From Game to Science" The project "Vom Spiel zur Wissenschaft" within the scope of a PPS semester seminar at the ETH Zurich is all about programming (cellular) automata and simulations, or to develop games to impart knowledge as simple learning programs. We (I and three costudents) decided to develop an "evolution-simulation". For that we've designed some autonomous automatas (plant, vegetarian, carnivore). The board instanciates an amount of those automata objects, making them move, abscond and reproduce themselfs in account of a set of rules. Depending on the given conditions (initial state, parameters, board size) the simulation leads to several interesting stable and unstable populations.
